Review- The Four Fountains De-Stress Spa

There’s nothing more stressful than being a bride to be in just a month! And what’s the best gift can a maid of honour give her to cope up with the strenuous task of being the future good ol’ wifey? A de-stressing spa session! And me, being the hard act committed friend, accompanied her and went through a session myself! J

So, I had planned a pre-bachelorette spa treatment for my friend who is getting married in May (yes, you will be seeing more of her in the later month!) I was more than excited when I got an invitation for a complimentary therapy at  The Four Fountains De-Stress Spa, Mumbai
I tagged my friend along and what followed was us being passed out for an hour and woke up RELAXED! Read on to know more.....

To begin with, I’ll just give a quick backdrop of the spa:

*    The Four Fountains De-stress Spa is one India’s largest chain of professionally managed, affordable health spa.
*    They have 20 spas in 7 major cities- Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Banglore, Kolkata, Pune & Goa
*    Their spa therapies are categorized into De-Stressing, De-Toxification, Immunity and Beauty
*    There’s an in-house spa doctor who conducts a stress test and then recommends the best fitted spa therapy and also suggests a healthy diet/lifestyle chart.
*    Well trained therapists.
*    The ambience is holistically adhered.

Here are some pics of the spa and ofcourse there is one of my best friend and a random pic of my fingers oops rings covered with fingers! I have always loved awesome rings, glitzy, midi/knuckle, statement, chain anything and everything!! And Bin did a good job of capturing it whilst on our Chocolate Avalanche Sr. sabotage at MochaMojo.

This is Binsty on her engagement day.  I put this up on her insistence!

Rings a mixed bag of Forever 21, WestSide, Hill Road, Street exhibitions.
My Review:

I visited the spa located in Bandra. Upon entering, I was greeted by a staff. Then proceeded to I’m guessing the in-house doctor who checked our stress levels, turns out my stress level is higher than the bride! [Obvious reasons: P] and then a couple of general inquiry later, I was given the options to choose from a wide variety of therapies as mentioned above into the major categories. We chose to de-stress and hence, De-Stressing- Aromatherapy Massage (Relaxing) The whole environment in the general area was calming and with the whiffs of essential oils. Loved it! We were then introduced to our masseuse and then escorted to the therapy room for a quick change. The session began with wiping of the tired feet with a hot towel. I’m guessing that’s for hygiene purpose but it felt good anyway right from there. The aromatherapy essential oils used were French Lavender and Ylang Ylang. French lavender, according to their small info card is known to reduce anxiety while Ylang Ylang relaxes nerves. Perfect! I must say that my therapist, Iccha was really good. She was responsive and comforting. Also, one major point I must add is that I really hate when you visit spas and the attendant is really annoying you with the unnecessary chitter-chatter when all you want to do is relax. But here it was nothing like that. She was completely dedicated and I was for most of the parts in a comatose state of relaxation. The stress nerves were attended to, the pressure was well-maintained. Also, the music was extremely soothing. Which was a bonus! All in all, perfecto! I would give a standing ovation if I could but then that would be weird. Coming back, after the well deserved relaxed hour, I was then to go for a shower that was attached to the room which was good. After the session we were given a hot cup of green tea and which we happily sipped and a tiny tub of complimentary gel which can be used to soothe the nerves then filled out their feedback form.

I must say I was very impressed. A good spa session is always refreshing.  And I would definitely recommend you guys to try this spa out at least once. You’ll definitely crave for some more! For an hour there I was in the “No-Stress Zone” and I came out content and satisfied. As for the bride-to-be, she came out looking relaxed she has ever been since she got engaged! Haha

That’s all for today, ‘keep dressing and keep de-stressing’ J Woot Woot

V-DAY THE SINGLETON BRIGADE

www.treesugar.com

OH NO! The time is arriving when all the single souls in the planet are terribly traumatized, in the lowest of self esteem or go into deep life and self contemplation. The three most common things happening former V-Day are, singles on house arrest, couples waiting in desperation for the day and a third category of ‘I-Don’t-Care’ group. Well, as cool as the third batch sounds, I know it for a fact that they are the saddest of the lot who want to be on a house arrest with the partner they are waiting in desperation for on V-day! I know many people who go all anti over the opposite sex saying WHO NEEDS EM? Answer: YOU NEEDS EM! Guys, Love is inevitable. IT IS BOUND TO HAPPEN SOME DAY. It would be best if you just stop fighting it and accept it. A famous person once said, “Love is all we need” No matter how baked he must have been, it still stands true. But does that mean being single sucks? Gosh No! How else is ‘THE ONE’ gonna sweep you off your feet? (If that was way too cheesy I totally understand. I felt that too.) Anyway, bottom line is, don’t fight the day, just play it right!  Keep an optimistic and a healthy attitude! I, for one know that being single may sometimes suck and sometimes it may just be a boon.  I’m bankrupt right now, so that totally helps when I don’t have to buy gifts!

So to the entire singleton brigade out there, don’t fret, here are some awesome sauce ideas to keep you going so V-day can pass off as any other day ;-)

© Celebrate it with your close buddies, single or otherwise! It will be a hell lot of fun to tease the couples and what’s best to create good memories with your pals.

© Organize a pyjama party with the gals. Organize cool games, hot chocolate, yummylicious food and sooper-cool movies.

© Try out the one-day spa package. Spend the entire day pampering your body and by the time that    ends, V-Day is over too... Hehe

© Want to feel better? Shop all day long! (I am saving up for thisJ) Go and buy that expensive pair of shoes that you couldn’t afford. Or just buy any generalised item! P.S DO NOT go window shopping! You’ll end up getting frustrated. You want something, you go buy it!

© Don’t feel like venturing out? Shop online instead. There are a lot of deals for V-day going on anyway. Make your E-wallet a bit lighter and trust me it will take longer than you think! Sometimes, almost an entire day!

© Start a new hobby! What’s better than the first day of you hobby! You are excited and can absorb the maximum! Sign up for a cookery, baking, instrument, sketching class etc. Channel all your energy into doing something constructive! All of these will help you later on.. If you know what I mean ;)

© Blame this day and try to bring out the adventurous spirit in you, go camping with the single buds, river rafting, trekking or something you wouldn’t even imagine! You have nothing to lose except for some cool stories to share later on in your lives!

© If you have just been through a bad phase, just stay home and relax. Pile on some DVD’s and watch sappy romantic movies. It’s okay to let out your emotions for a day! Whine for some time and then towards the end of the day, just switch on to watching some really cool action movie or flicks (preferably Will Smith’s) that inspire you. And make you go – “Woaah” This will help you to keep positive.

© Last but not the least, if you are one of the lazytards, Sleep through the day! Or stuff yourself with yummy gourmet items, baked cookies, chocolate bars, ice-cream, pizzas, basically, delicious junk food and lots and lots of it. Nothing beats this natural stress buster. Your motto of the day should be Eat-Sleep and Repeat!

Wow, the last sounds soo tempting that I may just skip shopping! Hehe. That’s all today. Keep snackin’ and keep crackin’ J Woot woot
